Battle of Princeton was a battle of the American Revolutionary War, fought near Princeton, New Jersey on January 3, 1777, and ending in a small victory for the Colonials. George Washington led a daring night march to capture Princeton. His victories at Trenton and Princeton reasserted American control of much of New Jersey and improved the morale and unity of the colonial army and militias.
